French police have raided the Paris headquarters of the Organizing Committee for the next Summer Olympics. The organizing committee announced the raid.
The police and the prosecutor had searched the financial administration of the headquarters. According to Politico magazine, the police have collected documents from the headquarters.
The investigation was scheduled for the same day as the International Olympic Committee’s executive board began its three-day meeting.
The raid is underway. The organizing committee said it would help the authorities in conducting the investigation.
The Paris Olympics will start on July 24 next year and last until August 11. The Paralympics are organized between August and September.
