The National Police of Ukraine will switch to an enhanced mode of operation from February 14 to February 19, reported on her website.
“For what: to respond more quickly to any threats to the security of citizens. A reinforced police regime is not an additional reason for panic. This is about protection and full readiness,” explained the head of the National Police, Igor Klymenko.
The police will increase the number of patrols that provide public safety and maintain order on the streets, he said. In addition, additional situational centers will be deployed to monitor the operational situation in the country around the clock. Critical infrastructure facilities, public authorities and local governments will be taken under protection.

The police switched to an enhanced mode of operation after a number of Western media, including Bloomberg, Spiegel and Politico reported that Russia is going to invade Ukraine in the coming days – February 15 or 16. Politico, citing an official in the US presidential administration, said that the date of February 16 was named by President Joe Biden himself in a conversation with allies.
