A criminal complaint was filed against Gjert Ingebrigtsen. It has led to prosecution.

Gjert Ingebrigtsen, the father of track and field star Jakob Ingebrigtsen, has been charged, news reports Norwegian Dagbladet.
Ingebrigtsen is accused of injury.
Ingebrigtsen’s children Henrik, Filip and Jakob told the Norwegian VG in October that their father raised them violently.
– We were raised by a father who has been very aggressive and controlling. He used physical violence and threats as part of his upbringing. We still feel the discomfort and fear that have been present in us since childhood, the brothers said in a statement.
The police started a preliminary investigation into the allegations, and it has now led to an indictment. Lawyer for the brothers Mette Yvonne Larsen confirmed to Dagbladet that one of the family members filed a criminal report for domestic violence against Gjert Ingebrigtsen. According to a Norwegian newspaper, two criminal reports have been filed against 50-year-old Gjert Ingebrigtsen, one of which was filed by the police.
Gjert Ingebrigtsen’s lawyer John Elden communicated on Monday to Dagbladet that the charge was filed before the new year.
– The police filed a charge against him last year, which could result in fines, but we think it will go away, Elden wrote.
Gjert Ingebrigtsen coached his boys until the beginning of 2022. However, he is no longer on speaking terms with them. He quickly denied all the allegations after the allegations came to light.
