The e-commerce specialist The Platform Group AG (TPG) announced on Tuesday the establishment of its own subsidiary for the online fashion retailer Fashionette.
The company announced that the corresponding activities would be transferred to Fashionette GmbH next month. Laura Vogelsang and Dominik Benner, the CEO of The Platform Group, were appointed as managing directors of the new Düsseldorf-based company.
The measure will complete the integration of Fashionette into the new group structure, explained the group of companies, which emerged from the merger of Fashionette AG with The Platform Group GmbH & Co KG last fall.
The group of companies is now “final in its structure”
CEO Benner explained the background: “Since the merger, the activities of the former fashionette have not been divided into a separate unit. As planned in 2023, we have now broken down into a GmbH in order to complete the holding structure at AG level,” he explained in a statement. “This means that the last step of the merger has been completed and The Platform Group AG’s structure is final.”
In the future, The Platform Group AG will act as the holding company for the three companies Fashionette GmbH, Brandfield BV and The Platform Group GmbH & Co. KG. “Future acquisitions will be incorporated into the individual companies, and reporting will be carried out on a segment-by-segment basis,” explained the company.
