Just a few days ago, the merger of the e-commerce companies Fashionette AG and The Platform Group GmbH & Co KG, which had been planned for months, was officially completed. The Platform Group AG (TPG), which emerged from the merger, presented its first results on Wednesday. These were determined on a pro forma basis and are based on the available business figures of the two former individual companies.
Accordingly, the new company’s pro forma sales in the first nine months of the current 2023 financial year amounted to 284.5 million euros, which corresponds to an increase of 22 percent compared to the comparable previous year. The gross merchandise volume (GMV) grew by 21.6 percent to 469.3 million euros.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) adjusted for special effects reached 14.5 million euros on a pro forma basis, exceeding the level of the same period last year by 37 percent.
In view of the available figures, CEO Dominik Benner sees TPG on track: “We are very satisfied with the development in the first nine months,” he explained in a statement. “In a challenging environment, we were able to significantly increase all key figures and see ourselves well on the way to fully implementing our goals for 2023.” Accordingly, the company confirmed its annual forecasts published in mid-October.
