The Japanese airline Japan Airlines found itself in a confusing situation when a group of sumo wrestlers crammed onto its planes.
CNN’s according to the report, a group of 27 sumo wrestlers forced Japan Airlines to reserve an extra plane for a domestic flight so that the weight limits would not have been exceeded.
The average weight of the wrestlers was 120 kilos. In Japan, “ordinary” passengers weigh an average of 70 kilos.
The sumo wrestlers were divided from the original two machines to three machines, but the space was still on the cards.
For example, high school athletes weighing 110, 130 and 140 kilograms had to sit in three rows of seats on the plane.
– The middle bench was the worst, one of the students said.
– At first I joked about possible problems with weight limits, but it turned out to be a real problem, commented the representative of the sumo wrestlers.
In Japan, passengers are not usually asked to weigh themselves before flights, but many government authorities require that procedure to collect data.
