According to the newspaper, the stables’ cars and other depot equipment remained in London when the cargo plane broke down. Instead, staff have already traveled to the Middle East.
The setback jeopardizes the team’s participation in Bahrain’s first three-day test drive. The F1 teams will measure their performance on the Sakhir motorway from 10 to 12. March before the start of the season the following weekend.
Haas, who collapsed firmly at the bottom of the series last season, has enjoyed headlines since the beginning of the year. However, not all publicity is always good, as the American team has played its part in the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The main sponsor of the stable was the Russian chemical and fertilizer company Uralkali. Son of a company manager Dimitri Mazepin drove to the stable still in Barcelona, but last weekend the team broke off with both its main sponsor and its driver.
Mazepin is rarely missed. The Russian will be remembered as one of the poorest drivers in the history of the sport.
Mick Schumacherin as a teammate are a thorn Pietro Fittipaldi and Antonio Giovinazzi.
