Before the end of the year in the Bundesliga against Borussia Mönchengladbach, the personnel situation at Eintracht Frankfurt is easing.
As coach Dino Toppmöller said before the game on Wednesday evening (8.30 p.m./DAZN), striker Omar Marmoush is returning to the team after illness and a yellow card suspension. In addition, the offensive player Fares Chaibi, who recently had a cold, is “back to 100 percent”, and Ellyes Skhiri is also “a candidate for the starting eleven” after recovering from a thigh injury.
There are still question marks behind defenders Willian Pacho and Robin Koch. However, Toppmöller was “confident” of both that they would be available against Mönchengladbach.
Before the last competitive game of the year, the Eintracht coach emphasized the importance of going into the winter break with a sense of achievement. “Our aim is to win the game,” said Toppmöller: “We’re trying to get to the limit again and go into the break with a positive experience.”
