What is an indispensable item in every wardrobe? A compact windproof and waterproof jacket that you can quickly pull out of the closet when it gets colder or starts to rain. It’s just a shame that you always work up a sweat…
But that is now a thing of the past. Jack in a Bag has developed a jacket that completely blocks wind and water and is still breathable. It consists of 100% recycled polyamide and is therefore very durable.
Functional outdoor jackets
Jack in a Bag is the brand when it comes to light and functional outdoor jackets. The light and padded functional jackets as well as the body warmers are packed in compact bags (packables). Super handy to put in your luggage bag, purse or in the car so you always have a jacket to hand when you want to go for a walk or bike ride when it gets colder or when it starts to rain. And now there is the wind and waterproof jacket 2.0.
Without sweating
“We sell our jackets in many countries around the world, including southern European countries like Spain and Greece,” says Ronald Nelemans. He is commercial director and co-founder of FashionPower, a specialist in sustainable sports, outdoor and leisure wear and known for sustainable brands like RedMax , Eecoff and of course Jack in a Bag.” We were asked from southern Europe to develop a light jacket that is windproof and waterproof, that you don’t sweat in it and that can also be packed up small. We got to work, and it worked. Our new jacket is made of 100% recycled polyamide, is 5000 g/m2/24h breathable/5000 mm waterproof and still breathable. With this jacket, sweating (and the smell of sweat) when hiking or cycling is a thing of the past.”
Unisex
The windproof and waterproof jacket from Jack in a Bag is available for women and men in sizes S/M, L/XL and XXL, each in four commercial colors.
Premiered at the PLMA show in Amsterdam RAI
The new jacket was launched at the PLMA show at the RAI Amsterdam, the largest international private label convenience show. “This is where we meet our target group,” says Senior Key Account Manager Thomas van Beers. “We mainly target supermarkets, drugstores, discounters and other convenience stores. Jack in a Bag is a total concept. Our products come with a practical display and are therefore suitable for any type of store format. Customers have the choice between one robust black stainless steel display or a commercial cardboard display which can be fully recycled. A display can hold 48 jackets, 24 women’s and 24 men’s jackets and the range can be refilled from stock”.
