‘The answer is blowing in the wind.’ This is written on the grave of the Lokerse gendarme Peter De Vleeschauwer (37). He died in 1996 in a professional murder. A murder that is still unsolved after almost 25 years. The hypotheses about his death are often crazy, but it is a blot on the record of justice that the death of a servant of his own ranks was never solved. Although many quattons claim that the investigation was also deliberately delayed from their own police circles. A reconstruction of one of the few unsolved murders of a police officer in our country.
