Immersive experience

At one o’clock in the afternoon he opened the Open Areaand a huge crystal cube with surprise inside: the immersive proposal of Andrew Warren, creative director of the Misato Kindness studio and one of the digital artists of the moment, who creates campaigns for Nike, Adidas, Mugler and Carolina Herrera, among other brands. A 40 second loop video in which he dyes Barcelona denim blue.

Denim, in 080 Reborn

The same video gave the same time, already in the parade area, to the 080 Reborn, which in its second edition has focused on the denim. Stylists Fermin + Gilles have dressed the Barcelona Ballet dance company with second-hand denim pieces deconstructed and resewn.

Simorra

The brand born in 1978 puts the woven in the center of the design and understands the material as a vehicle of creative expression to communicate messages and emotions. The collection presented is titled ‘Echoes of Nature‘ (‘Echoes of nature’) and is inspired by the creative force of nature. A composition expressed through fabrics, textures and folds, which capture the fleeting beauty of the landscape. The presentation highlights the metallic garments‘nude’ tones, white, red and blue and green prints and raincoat plastic.

The Artelier

Her garments are a genderless style statement that celebrates fashion as a personal expression of identity. The brand prioritizes the use of ecological and sustainable fabrics, and all production is carried out by hand in Barcelona. The ‘When the night returns’ collection evokes the emptiness when the night comes to an end and everything is reborn, new opportunities emerging. The first model has appeared on stage with a long, completely white dress that has been painted live. The ‘total look’, transparencies, denim and ‘tie dye’ prints have been protagonists.

Scorpion

Escorpion makes an ode to the elegance and naturalness of the contemporary woman with its collection ‘Scent of Woman‘(‘Essence of a woman’). The brand fuses traditional techniques, such as intardia and Jacquard, with the avant-garde of textures and layering of handmade pieces.

“‘Essence of a woman’ for the personality and essence of each woman, and for the aroma. We have made a play on words,” details designer Jessica Raya in a brief meeting with EL PERIÓDICO. “We have imagined a walk on a summer afternoon that lasts until sunset and then until nightfall at a party. We go from bright tones and more ‘casual’ fabrics to muting the color palette with metallics, until we go to threads fantasy with sequin“explains the creator.

The protagonists of the parade have been three dogs dressed in the same sweater as the model. “Companion animals are becoming the new children and we wanted to claim ‘pet friendly’. Since the animal protection law has come out, we want to claim that it is an important and necessary fact,” she says.
