According to the statement made by the Turkish Football Federation (TFF), the crescent-star team matched with Italy, Republic of Ireland, Norway, Latvia and San Marino in Group A.
Mert Tuncay, Administrative Manager of the National Team and the Under-21 National Team, participated in the draw held at UEFA’s headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, on behalf of the TFF.
In the qualifiers, 6 teams will compete in 7 groups and 5 teams will compete in each of the two groups. Group matches will be played between March 2023 and October 2024. Nine group winners and the three second best teams in the groups will directly qualify for the 2025 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship Finals, which will be hosted by Slovakia. The other six second teams will play the double elimination play-offs in November 2024 in order to qualify for the finals.
Slovakia, which will be the host of the organization to be held in the summer of 2025, will directly participate in the championship.
