The statue of Fenerbahçe Opet and national team captain Eda Erdem Dündar, who has achieved countless successes in Turkish volleyball, will be unveiled on March 8, International Women’s Day.
In the statement made by the club, it was stated that the statue, made by sculptor and master architect Pınar Öktem Doğan, will be opened at 11:00 in front of the protocol entrance of Ülker Stadium Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saracoğlu Sports Complex.
Eda Erdem Dündar has won championships under both the yellow-dark blue and crescent-star jerseys for 15 years. Eda Erdem Dündar, who was included in the “100 best players in history” and “12 best female volleyball players” lists by FIVB in 2021 with her achievements in the national team jersey, was appointed by the Turkish National Olympic Committee (TMOK) to spread and adopt the idea and behavior of fair play throughout the country. He was also deemed worthy of the Diploma of Honor award in the “Sports Career” category within the scope of his activities.
