They were not separated for a day for almost 60 years. In all that time they never drank a glass without clinking. And even in death, Irené (83) and Annie (81) do not let go of each other. The couple died just three days apart. “Dad died of a broken heart,” their sons say. “He said it a few more times the last day: ‘Moeke is calling me.’”
