The number of non-European labor migrants in Flanders almost doubled last year

The number of labor migrants coming to work in Flanders from outside Europe has almost doubled in one year. This is reported by VRT NWS on the basis of the annual report of the Flemish Department of Economic Migration. The migrants are mainly used for shortage occupations for which there are too few candidates in the European Union, such as truck driver, healthcare worker and butcher.
