The video streaming service Netflix announced in its interim report that it had broken the record number of subscribers. The number of subscribers to the service was 232.5 million subscribers in the latest interim report.

The company guaranteed a result of 1.3 billion dollars in the first quarter.

The sharing of IDs is limited – No ads to Finland yet

The company also announced that it intends to limit the sharing of identifiers, and will collect fees collected from sharing during the current quarter.

Order updates are also known. Netflix users in countries where subscribers also have advertising content will receive a 1080p quality image instead of 720p in the cheapest subscription. The service can also be viewed on two different devices in the same household with the cheapest subscription.

The subscription option containing Netflix ads is currently not available in Finland. In Europe, however, the ad-supported subscription is in use in France, Italy, Germany, Spain and Great Britain.

The order containing advertisements was introduced after the company noticed that the result had slowed down last year.
