FC Bayern is threatened with renewed unrest about a professional who is willing to change – but probably only in the summer of 2024.
According to a report by “Sport1”, Dayot Upamecano can then imagine leaving the German record champions.
The defender, who has been criticized for his inconsistent performances, is not completely satisfied in Munich and is concerned about his future, according to sources close to him.
Explosive: Upamecano’s former advisor Gordon Stipic and his English business partner Will Salthouse are said to have received the order months ago to offer the 24-year-old French loosely in the English Premier League – by Raquel Rosa, a long-time confidant of Upamecano, with whom he has since should have broken.
Instead, according to the report, the 15-time France international is now being represented by player agent Moussa Sissoko. This, in turn, is said to have very good contacts with Paris Saint-Germain, the club that recently turned Upamecano’s defense colleague Lucas Hernández’s head. Upamecano himself is said to continue to dream of an engagement on the island.
FC Bayern has the upper hand
The current speculation does not have to worry FC Bayern particularly. Upamecano’s contract runs until 2026, so the people of Munich have more leverage in terms of personnel.
The “kicker” recently wrote about Upamecano’s dissatisfaction with FC Bayern. The ex-Leipziger is worried about his status as a regular player under Thomas Tuchel after his promoter Julian Nagelsmann had to leave the club, it was said.
In addition to Hernández, Benjamin Pavard, another Frenchman in the team, is currently working intensively on a departure from FC Bayern. For him, Munich is said to be demanding at least 30 million euros, and for Hernández even 50 million euros.
