Amel Gaily replaces Noora Fagerström, who became a member of parliament, in Diil’s management team.
Managing partner of Cuckoo, a startup company in the wellness and technology sector Amel Gaily see you in the management team in the Diili season starting in January.
Amel was called about Diil’s production and asked if he would be interested in the program.
– The call came as a complete surprise. I thought for a moment and thought, what a joke, what an opportunity. I have no regrets, says Amel.
Diili is not a foreign program for Amel, as he has been seen in the program before. Amel was sparring finalists in the seventh production season of Diil in 2021.
Even at that time, he was the CEO of the Finnish Business Angels Network.

Amel’s predecessor in Diil’s management team was Noora Fagertström, who was elected as an MP of the coalition last spring. Amel’s future plans do not include a candidacy for parliament.
– I am very committed to my current job and my entrepreneurship. I love my job. We have a good product and the company is in a good phase.
Amel says he was surprised how differently things were seen in Diili.
– It was really nice to get to know Toni (Lähde) and Jaajo. We are different and have different backgrounds. We look at things differently and it was nice to break down tasks. We had completely different observations at times. We might agree on the end result, for example, but the reasons varied. It was really nice to spar with people who think so differently.
