Lauri Mäntysalo hopes that the recent title of Mr. Finland will boost his career dreams.

Raisio Lauri Mäntysalo, 24, woke up for the new week once again realizing one of their dreams. Mäntysalo was elected the new Mr. Finland on Saturday.
The pine industry was described by the jury as “a young model that meets international frameworks and holds the keys to success”. This is probably honey for Mäntysalo’s ears, as he dreams of international modeling, acting and plot work.
Mäntysalo is the second owner of the car wash company. She has done model work under her own business name. The plot experience has been gained from the Miss EW competition. Mäntysalo wants to do more of this kind of work.
– It would be great to be the face of a big brand, like Calvin Klein. Plotting and acting are also interesting, Mäntysalo says.
Mäntysalo is also interested in working with Finnish companies. However, he says he is not ready to sell his values.
– It would be great to work with Finnish companies that promote good values, Mäntysalo says.
Friendliness and equality are important to Mäntysalo.

Mäntysalo has experience as an assistant in acting roles.
– Of course, I would like to get bigger roles, even those that would require throwing oneself and could give all the bangs, Mäntysalo says.

The Mr. Finland competition was postponed twice due to the corona pandemic.
– There was a terrible wait here. The hope was already to go to see if the finals would ever be held, as it moved many times, Mäntysalo says.
– I’m really relieved and happy. When there was still victory, it was a dream come true. I’ve always dreamed of being a model, Mäntysalo says.
Mr. Finland is the oldest continuously modeled male model competition in Finland. Now it was held for the 31st time.
Nine other finalists competed for the title of Mr. Finland with Mäntysalo. There were many faces familiar from television among them.
– I believe that winning will help me achieve my dreams, Mäntysalo says.
