The new CFO comes from Aldi

NKD appoints Nils Bolender to the role of CFO. The new head of finance will take up his post on October 1st, the textile discounter announced on Wednesday. The company’s three-person board will then consist of CEO Alexander Schmökel, Nils Bolender (CFO) and Christian Welles (CSO).

Boldener comes from the Aldi Nord Group, where he also worked as CFO. The designated CFO brings “valuable know-how to his new role” at NKD and will ensure the necessary continuity and play a key role in the transformation to a data-driven company, said NKD Managing Director Schmökel.

“I am looking forward to bringing my many years of financial and trading experience to the NKD Group, one of the leading value textile discounters in Europe,” said Bolender. “My goal is to set the course for a successful future and set new milestones for the company.”

The previous CFO Stefan Macheleidt left the company on September 14th at his own request and in agreement with the management. He has been working for the group since July 2021.
