The new Breuninger flagship store in Munich has opened

In 2021, the Stuttgart fashion retailer Breuninger took over the Munich fashion house Konen. Now the traditional house has been presented to the public for the first time after extensive renovation work and a re-branding.

The conversion is not quite finished yet, but a large part of the 12,500 square meter sales area already shines in new splendor. To mark the occasion, the fashion house invited the regional press to take a look. Various experts guided visitors through the newly designed rooms, including model Sarah Brandner, moderator Jenny Augusta, photographer Simon Lohmeyer and fashion expert Julian Daynov.

The public can examine the fashion house for the first time this weekend. During the ‘Breuninger Welcome Days’ from July 7th to 8th, visitors can rediscover the traditional house with live music, cool drinks and special campaign highlights.

Investment in the tens of millions

The final completion of all floors will take place in autumn. According to the company, Breuninger invested an amount in the double-digit million range for the extensive conversion work. The new Breuninger store will present fashion, beauty, shoes and accessories on six floors, including exclusive designer brands such as Iris von Arnim, Etro, Marin, Vetements, Max Mara, Brunello Cucinelli, Zimmermann, Victoria Beckham and Zegna.

In the high fashion segment, the company relies on brands such as Sandro, Maje, Ami Paris, Dsquared, Ganni, Bash, Offwhite and Palm Angels. On the ground floor, Breuninger stages a beauty world with brands such as Charlotte Tilbury, La Mer, Dr. Barbara Sturm, Doctor Mi!, Jo Malone, La Prairie, Shiseido and Xerjoff. Brands such as Chanel, Dior, Tom Ford, Benefit and Mac will soon be added. From August there will also be a new bar in Munich: the in-house bar concept Eduard’s by Breuninger. According to the company, Breuninger will create around 100 new jobs with its new building.
