With defending champion Lorena Wiebes and Tour de France winner Demi Vollering, the Netherlands will have two favorites for the road race at the European Cycling Championships in Drenthe in just under two weeks. “We have a strong selection in the width, but on the course on and around the VAM mountain they are our finishers,” says national coach Loes Gunnewijk.
