The Netherlands supplies medicines, medical supplies and equipment to Ukraine. The goods are intended to support the Ukrainian population and continue to provide medical care in these difficult circumstances. The shipments will be transported to Poland today and handed over there.
The Netherlands sends protective medical clothing, such as 10,000 pairs of gloves, 10,000 coats and 50,000 mouth masks. In addition, medications such as antibiotics and pain relievers are sent. The medicines and aids have been made available by the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS) and the RIVM. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (BZ) is responsible for the transport.
The private sector is also contributing. For example, a party from the healthcare sector has offered 10,000 infusion sets, 1000 transfusion sets and 80 infusion pumps for donation. These items will also be included in the transport.
