As of today, the internet consultation of the Bill Minimum Tax Act 2024 will start. The minimum profit tax of 15% for companies contributes to a fairer tax system and helps to prevent tax avoidance. In October 2021, 137 countries reached an agreement on this. The Netherlands is starting this technical consultation so that the bill can be introduced quickly as soon as an agreement has been reached at European level.
