Life in the Netherlands was 9.7 percent more expensive in March than a year earlier. It is the highest inflation since April 1976, reports the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS). The war between Ukraine and Russia caused prices for electricity, gas and district heating to rise sharply, but food also became more expensive.
