The total number of companies in the Netherlands increased sharply last year. On January 1, 2022, our country counted more than 2 million companies for the first time, reports the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS). The strong growth is partly due to the fact that fewer companies were closed, but many new companies were also set up.
