Gasunie CEO Han Fennema

GRONINGEN – The Netherlands is looking for gas. Since the invasion of Ukraine, it has wanted to quickly get rid of Russian fuels. Gasunie was actually phasing out extraction from the Groningen field, and is looking for supplies at a rapid pace now that Putin threatens to shut us down. “But getting rid of Russian gas within six months is unfeasible,” says CEO Han Fennema. “I expect it to be possible in 2025, if we do everything we can.”
