In the weekend of 12, 13 and 14 September, the Neighborhood Camping Alkmaar Overdie saves its tents again. A low -threshold initiative to bring and connect the neighborhood. Even if you don’t have camping gear, you can borrow it.
According to organizer Hester Ozinga, everyone with a pleurol under the arm on the neighborhood campsite is the same: “Moreover, it is in your own environment, so you don’t have to travel for it and you are still in a different atmosphere.”
The campsite is also accessible to people with a small exhibition. “To make that possible, we are still looking for donors who can send a family on vacation,” said Ozinga.
The holiday weekend runs entirely on volunteers. The team is not yet complete, so Ozinga is now looking for committed volunteers via NH who want to roll up their sleeves during the camping weekend.
“More volunteers are welcome,” Hester Ozinga emphasizes, “also people who offer something, such as a yoga class. For volunteers there is of course room at the campsite, but they can also sleep at home. Then they will miss a lot of fun”.
