Good news for game enthusiasts in Zoetermeer: the National Video Game Museum will open again on Saturday February 3. They have moved from the Passage in the Stadshart to the former ABN AMRO bank building. Adults and children can enjoy themselves for hours with hundreds of games, such as Candy Caps, Xbox, and a large collection of Japanese ‘rhythm games’.

For the real hardcore gamers, the museum is a treat for the eyes, according to Caroline de Winter, marketing and communications employee. Dozens of slot machines, racing simulators and arcade machines flicker towards you on three floors.
Nostalgic memories
For some, the museum evokes nostalgic feelings, while others want to discover and play video games for hours. The so-called atmospheric rooms form a museum in which you take a journey through time in the field of video games. You will find games and computers from the past, such as Pacman and the Commodore 64. In recreated children’s rooms you can see how children used to play video games.
