Soccer star Nordi Mukiele had an operation in Turku.
The representatives of the top club Paris Saint-Germain arrived in Turku before Easter to see a Finnish doctor Lasse Lempais. For the visit, it was decided that Lempainen would operate on Mukiele’s hamstring injury.
The surgery was performed in Turku on Tuesday, April 11.
– It is important for sports clubs to find as partners experts who not only have the ability, but also the readiness to help quickly with high-quality frameworks in demanding sports injuries. The clubs must see how the players rehabilitate as quickly and permanently as possible back to playing condition, Lempainen said in the press release of the medical center Pihlajalinna.
– Players are a big investment for sports clubs. Here in Turku, we have shown that we can do this.
Lempainen participates in the player’s rehabilitation. He has developed tests called “Return to play” for post-injury treatment, which are used to determine the readiness to return to the playing fields.
– By successfully demonstrating the successful return of top athletes to the playing fields, word of mouth is spreading about our activities. The arrival of PSG in Turku is a direct proof of this.
Lempainen has previously operated on the stars of FC Barcelona and AC Milan, among others. Among others, they have gone to be operated on in Turku Ousmane Dembélé, Ronald Araújo and Sergi Roberto and an NHL star Max Pacioretty.
In the current season, Mukiele has played 19 matches in the French league and four in the Champions League. The French-Congolese player moved to PSG last summer with a contract that runs until 2027.
He has played one match in the French A national team.
