The gigantic military convoy that set off towards Kyiv shortly after the Russian invasion seems to be regrouping. The satellite images show how the convoy entered towns and forests near Kyiv.
The 64-kilometer convoy of Kremlin tyrant Vladimir Putin (69) had apparently not moved for days. But new satellite images from the US company “Maxar Technologies” show a turnaround.
Apparently, artillery pieces were brought into firing position – the Russian troops are pushing ahead with the encirclement of Kiev and are apparently ready shortly to begin the feared large-scale attack on the Ukrainian capital.
The reason: After plan A (the reasonably peaceful takeover of the capital) failed, Putin switched to plan B (encirclement). For this, the more than 2000 trucks have to take new positions. The presumed plan: They will now spread to the east and west, and then advance towards Kyiv together with armored units.
There are repeated battles not far from the capital: drone images released by the Ukrainian army on Thursday show a Russian tank column advancing in Brovary (northeast of Kyiv) – but after heavy shelling, Putin’s troops have to withdraw.

While Gerhard Schröder allegedly wants to slow down his friend Putin in Moscow, the Kremlin despot continues to bombard civilians undeterred. On Friday, Russia launched air strikes on civilian targets in the city of Dnipro (population around 970,000) in central Ukraine.
So far, the city of Dnipro has been largely spared – but in the morning there was severe destruction. Among other things, a kindergarten is said to have been hit. Rescuers said early in the morning there were “three airstrikes that hit a kindergarten, an apartment building and a two-storey shoe factory. One person died.”
