New every month: our new large music express playlist for streaming!
For each issue there is a newly curated playlist with the song recommendations of the ME editorial team. Here you can listen to the music that we tell you about in the magazine while you are reading.
For those readers who don’t want to do without our exclusive CD, it will continue to be available in the ME subscription (which, by the way, can be canceled at any time).
This time the November playlist features music from:
THE NERVES
Twice Europe this month: The Stuttgart band will start with one
Rock anthem that brings noise and quiet together in an urgency and
is at the same time a clever commentary on the general political climate of our time.
YEAH YEAH YEAHS
New York’s zero-art punk heroes celebrate their comeback with great song artistry:
“Burning” is a dramatic rock number that turns into synth disco banger
swings up and never loses its bite thanks to Karen O’s vocals.
THE 1975
The Brits caress everyone’s ears with their diverse pop. Singing here
Frontman Matty Healy to catchy guitar riffs and funk beat the most beautiful,
simplest message in the world: “I’m in love with you”. Can’t be heard often enough.
PHOENIX
The smart French pop checkers from Phoenix are also back. Together
with Vampire Weekend mastermind Ezra Koenig invite you here for a quick,
winding journey between French pop, 80s beat and millennial nostalgia
SORRY
The British duo’s laconic electro-pop conveys the inner turmoil of
Falling in love in a nutshell: “Let The Lights On” is a
lovesick lonely hearts banger between bliss and fright.
MISSING COLOURS
Europe, part two: 42 years after MONARCHIE UND ALLTAG the cult band packs a punch
the bull by the balls again. With powerful guitars and intense language
they sing their angry dirge on a deeply unsettled continent.
Enjoy listening!
