Disaster strikes in Moldova. The defender from Sint-Pancras lost consciousness after a collision in a match with his club FC Zimbru. He is in a coma for a long time, but when he wakes up the fight comes to return as strong as possible.
NH Sport reporter Thomas Brood has been in regular contact with Van Iperen since the time Van Iperen played for Telstar. After recording the report in February, Van Iperen went to America for special treatment. He then stayed with his girlfriend in Greece where he continues to work on his rehabilitation with a physiotherapist.
