We mark off the last days on the calendar. Always a good time to look back on the year that has almost passed. Which videos, stories and events from NH Sport were so beautiful, special or fun in 2023 that we want to highlight them one more time? A dip in the pool after the very first national championship of the indoor football players of FC Marlène from Heerhugowaard.
Half of the men’s premier league indoor football is filled with teams from North Holland. Women’s indoor football is – partly because of this – in the shadows. At the beginning of June things are a bit different. For the first time in club history, the women’s branch of FC Marlène is celebrating the national championship. This leads to frenzied scenes with strong drinks and a dip in the adjacent De Waardergolf swimming pool.
FC Marlène, under the new coach Mo Bouchibti, is also performing excellently in the new season. Of the eleven competition matches, ten ended in a win and only a draw was played against Os Lusitanos/Lebo. The women also played in the Champions League for the first time.
