Birth
William Arthur Philip Louis was born on June 21, 1982 and is the eldest son of Prince Charles and Diana Spencer. Brother Harry was born three years later.
Holiday in England
How sweet is this photo from 1986? Prince Charles and Princess Diana visited the English town of Tetbury with their two sons.
Diana loved her children and it is very sad that her sons had to say goodbye to their mother at such a young age. Diana died in 1997 in a car accident.
Like father Like Son?
Prince William’s relationship with his father continues ups and downs† William told in the BBC documentary Prince, Son and Heir: Charles at 70 that their bond has not always been good. “He is always working. There used to be so many bags with paperwork in his office that as children we couldn’t even reach his desk to say goodnight.”
William and Harry
Harry and William used to be inseparable. Especially after the death of their mother, the two supported each other. Their bond is no longer as close as it used to be. The brothers were on “different paths,” according to insiders, but things really escalated when Harry and his wife Meghan stepped back as senior royals and moved to California.
During the unveiling of the Diana statue in 2021 and the funeral of Prince Philip, it seemed that a tentative reconciliation was taking place, but according to British media, the brothers still cannot get through one door.
Prince William and polo
Prince William is a real sports fanatic. He has been playing polo for years and now and then he still plays polo. His bachelor party was also dominated by sports: this festive day was filled with water skiing, swimming and water polo.
William and Kate
William and his great love Kate Middleton met in 2001. Both were studying at the University of St Andrews at the time. Two years later, they got a room in the same dorm and started dating. In 2007, the couple broke up temporarily, but they soon got back together.
Wedding
In 2010, William proposed to Kate in Kenya. He did that with his mother’s famous engagement ring. In 2011, William and Kate tied the knot. They married at Westminster Abbey under the watchful eye of 300 million people who watched the moment live.
Children
William and Kate have three children together: Prince George (8), Princess Charlotte (7) and Prince Louis (4).
