Yle brings new content for the whole family to the Christmas program, when the Nordic production companies have joined forces and created a novelty program based on beloved fairy tales.
In an hour long Christmas star stories -program shows seven short films inspired by classic Nordic fairy tales, by Disney Samu Sirka’s Christmas greeting inspired.
Yle children’s delivery producer and international program supplier Verve Schroderus tells Iltalehte that more Christmas software for the whole family is needed, because there is demand. For example, Schroderus picks up a favorite every Christmas, Snowman-film and the sequel Snowman and snow dog.

According to Schroderus, the new Moomin animation has returned to the more traditional visual style and world of Tove Jansson’s drawings. The characters of Mauri Kunnas will be seen in three dimensions for the first time in Finland. Short film budgets are described by Schroderus as “significant”.
