The fire which was declared last night in a industrial ship from Montornès del Valles (Barcelona) has burned three industrial buildings and has affected a fourth due to the temperature. The firefighters they have considered the fire stabilized, in which there were no injuries, and Civil protection has already deactivated chemical hazard alert that affected the population of the area yesterday.
The fire broke out shortly before 7:00 p.m. Friday at a paint solvent factory and burned drums, tanks and pallets. The firefighters unfolded 22 crews to work on the incident, and work focused on contain flammable liquid with foam and prevent the fire from spreading to neighboring ships.
Trains return to normal
The large amount of smoke forced the conventional and high-speed train lines in Montornès to be cut off for some time last night, as a preventive measure.
