The Moldovan government approved the introduction of a state of emergency in the country’s energy sector after Gazprom threatened to stop gas supplies due to non-payment. Now the Cabinet of Ministers will appeal to the country’s parliament and ask it to approve the introduction of the state of emergency, writes Moldovan edition of Point.

The emergency measure bill was approved by the government on Wednesday, January 19. Earlier, the state of emergency was introduced in the republic because of the gas crisis in October.
