The Ministry of Finance called the volume of spending on the indexation of pensions above inflation – RBC

The total budget expenditures on the indexation of insurance pensions in 2022 by 8.6% will amount to 549.7 billion rubles. RBC was informed about this in the press service of the Ministry of Finance.

“Taking into account the instructions of the President to index pensions above inflation at the level of 8.6%, an additional 172.7 billion rubles will be required in 2022. The total volume of expenses for the indexation of insurance pensions this year will amount to 549.7 billion rubles, ”the ministry said.

The ministry recalled that initially the indexation of insurance pensions was envisaged at a rate of 5.9%. For this purpose, the Pension Fund allocated 377 billion rubles.
