The Ministry of Economic Development of Russia proposed to establish a tax on the fact of converting cryptocurrencies into rubles. About this Izvestia reported in the department.
According to the Ministry of Economic Development, mining should be allowed in regions with a steady surplus in electricity generation. To reduce the cost of mining cryptocurrencies, the ministry proposed lowering prices for connecting mining farms and data processing centers to energy sources, as well as setting low tariffs for electricity. In this case, prices will not depend on the place of production.
The Ministry of Finance proposed to limit the purchase of cryptocurrency by beginners at ₽50 thousand.
The Ministry of Finance proposed to impose income tax on cryptocurrency: digital currency will be equated to property, and tax will be levied on it in case of earnings.
The Bank of Russia opposed the issuance, exchange and circulation of cryptocurrencies in the country. The regulator also believes that it is necessary to establish responsibility for these actions, as well as for the use of digital currencies for payments. In them, the Bank of Russia sees risks for the ruble exchange rate.
