As a result of an attack on the Vasilkov military airfield in the Kiev region, the Russian Armed Forces disabled the Center for Warning and Control of Aviation and Air Defense of the Ukrainian Air Force, said the official representative of the Ministry of Defense, Major General Igor Konashenkov. According to him, the military also attacked the Balovnoye airfield in the suburbs of Nikolaev, destroying an aircraft parking lot and a fuel storage facility.
In addition, Konashenkov announced the destruction of fuel storage facilities in Konstantinovka (Nikolaev region), Slavuta (Rivne region) and Ternopil. “From these facilities, fuel was supplied to groups of Ukrainian troops in the Nikolaev and Donetsk directions,” the representative of the defense department added.
