The Ministry of Defense announced a strike on the Vasilkov airfield near Kiev. As a result, the Ukrainian aviation and air defense control center was disabled, the ministry said. In just a day, Russian aviation hit 42 objects of the Armed Forces of Ukraine


As a result of an attack on the Vasilkov military airfield in the Kiev region, the Russian Armed Forces disabled the Center for Warning and Control of Aviation and Air Defense of the Ukrainian Air Force, said the official representative of the Ministry of Defense, Major General Igor Konashenkov. According to him, the military also attacked the Balovnoye airfield in the suburbs of Nikolaev, destroying an aircraft parking lot and a fuel storage facility.

In addition, Konashenkov announced the destruction of fuel storage facilities in Konstantinovka (Nikolaev region), Slavuta (Rivne region) and Ternopil. “From these facilities, fuel was supplied to groups of Ukrainian troops in the Nikolaev and Donetsk directions,” the representative of the defense department added.

In total, during the day, the Russian Aerospace Forces hit 42 Ukrainian military facilities, including three launchers of air defense systems (one Buk-M1 and two Osa-AKM), one artillery battery, two MLRS installations, two field depots of missile and artillery weapons and ammunition, eight strongholds and areas of concentration of military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The military shot down three drones in the air in the areas of Krasnogorka and Grabovsky.
