Five people were killed and two Ukrainian infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) were destroyed during a battle in the Rostov region. This is stated in the message of the Southern Military District of the Ministry of Defense.
The military reported that a Ukrainian “sabotage and reconnaissance group” had reached the Russian border. This happened near the village of Mityakinskaya in the Rostov region. They were discovered by Russian border guards who requested reinforcements from the military. A battle broke out on the spot, during which two Ukrainian infantry fighting vehicles drove from the territory of Ukraine across the Russian border.
Armored vehicles, as well as five members of the sabotage group, were killed. During the battle, there were no casualties from the Russian military and border guards.
