The Russian military will continue to use Kinzhal air-to-air missile systems with hypersonic aeroballistic missiles during a special operation in Ukraine, Major General Igor Konashenkov, spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry, said.

“The combat use of the Kinzhal aviation missile system has confirmed its effectiveness in destroying highly protected special enemy targets. The strikes by this aviation missile system on the military infrastructure of Ukraine during the special military operation will continue,” he said.

According to a spokesman for the Ministry of Defense, hypersonic weapons are “absolutely high-precision” and are used “only against military facilities.”

So, during a special operation, the military destroyed with its help the underground protected storage facilities for aviation ammunition and combat units for the Tochka-U missile systems in the village of Delyatin and large fuel depots in the village of Konstantinovka, Konashenkov said.
