The Ministry of Education will check in detail the circumstances of the dismissal of a teacher in St. Petersburg, who reported that she was forced to leave school for reading poems by Daniil Kharms and Alexander Vvedensky to children.

The head of the ministry, Sergei Kravtsov, said that the teacher should be reinstated at work.

“I believe that the teacher should be fully restored in his rights, continue working with children, and now we are checking this whole situation together with the region. I urge administrative workers to be more sensitive to teachers, ”said Kravtsov.

He added that “our teachers live by their work, their business, creatively invest in the development of programs, and try to give the children the maximum.”

Kravtsov also rhetorically asked “what did we get as a result” if, in response to such efforts of teachers, administrative workers would “turn on the cudgel”.
