Lawyer graduated from the University of Belgrano, with a Master’s Degree in Law and Auctioneer and Real Estate Broker from the UTN, Gustavo De Simone is a renowned real estate businessman, who 12 years ago left behind “a career as a negotiator of contracts and trusts for energy companies , both in Argentina and in the United States, and I decided to enter the world of real estate”, says who, in addition to being in a relationship with Helga Hartmann and being the father of Aylen (18), Martina (17) and Francesca (10 months), leads a team of 12 advisors and had an average in 2021 of moving a family every day and a half, in a negative context for the sector, maintaining it this year. He is co-author with Lic. Jesica Valansi of the book “Deciphering the Real Estate Mind”, an essential book for any entrepreneur or businessperson, but even more so if he is dedicated to the real estate business. “The book is an independent edition of 243 pages that can be purchased on Amazon and Mercado Libre, with more than 2,500 readers in almost a year and a half since its appearance. The prologue was written by Mauricio Benoist, a great trainer of leaders and entrepreneurs; the introduction is by Dotti Peñatte, Chief Operating & Marketing Officer of RE/MAX Argentina-Uruguay; with outstanding reviews such as that of the well-known international lecturer Jürgen Klaric”, describes Gustavo who is already in the second edition of 1,500 copies, a book that can be purchased in English and that already has offers to be translated into other languages.
– What is the new thing that this book brings to the real estate business and to those who work in it?
In principle, in addition to offering my years of experience and uninterrupted success, the novel side of our book is the incorporation of a new tool that is not present in any other book of entrepreneurs, businessmen or commercials. We call that tool, created by us, “Triad of psychoentrepreneurship”, since it allows us to develop three approaches: 1) The interpretation of the business, a necessary approach to understand how the field of professional development works, become aware of why this item was chosen, what are the skills necessary to exploit it and recognize the obstacles that could prevent them from prospering. 2) The development of our skills and mentality. It is well known that those people who prepare themselves accordingly, reading and studying, develop a profession making their lives easier than the rest; but what no one says is that mindset development is as or more important than all those hard skills you went through. What makes the difference is knowing what that mentality is about, inhabiting the world of prosperity and, above all, generating the necessary actions to achieve what is desired. 3) The human emotional side and the unconscious mechanisms that behave like our worst enemy. Perhaps this is the most innovative side of the book, I have not known another book in the category that makes so much room for the “more human”, “more emotional”, “more unconscious” side, in the strict term of the word.
– How have you developed that aspect of the book?
We focus on all those imperfect mechanisms of the human peculiarity that operate as blind spots but that are, in large part, the result of our failures. They are those super imperceptible resistances that suddenly make us, for example, dislike a client or an operation is hindered and leads us to drown in a glass of water. Recognizing our attitudes towards that is being able to get out of that vicious circle. In our book you can find all the tips and examples of real cases lived by me, which constitute the way I built my business, along with the psychological background and the explanations that Jesica Valansi gives us as a psychologist, giving a solid theoretical support to everything that comes up. The success of our book, in addition to the content, is the agility of the reading and the fresh and bearable writing style to be read from beginning to end without realizing it. We are proud to boast that many people have told us that they have read the book up to three or four times, and have made the most of it again with each reading.
– Regarding your professional activity, what do you consider to have been your best achievements as a result of having applied the techniques you teach?
As a real estate entrepreneur, I was recognized for my impressive results, not only nationally but also internationally. I was part of the Top Ten in sales of Re/Max, one of the most important companies in the field in the world, maintaining my standards among the Top Ten during these 12 years. As a team leader, I have led my team to be number one in sales in Argentina and Latin America for five consecutive years and Top 5 in the world in the last four, ranking first in 2020. But all this is no coincidence. I completed five postgraduate degrees in Argentina and a Master of Laws at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. I have been a speaker at more than 100 talks throughout Argentina and Latin America, and I was a guest speaker at the Re/MAX annual international convention in Las Vegas (2014) and as a speaker at the Re/MAX Spain Convention (2018) .
– What is your daily activity?
I lead a team that deals with the commercialization of used real estate and I, personally, with the sale of real estate developments in wells, under construction, their pre-sale and post-sale, of which I am an expert due to my career as a lawyer in Trusts, negotiations and the great experience that I acquired in the field, being a great reference in the network in this field. Specifically, I am the Team Leader of one of the largest and most successful teams in the country within the Re/Max network. I am proud to have very well-trained real estate consultants, with great experience and ultra-professionals in the field. In short, I am not a mere salesperson, I am an entrepreneur who solves people’s problems and helps them move; I am in the dream business that is shaped like a home, and I put my clients’ needs before my own. My area of influence is in CABA and in the North Zone of the Province of Buenos Aires.
