A serious incident occurred at the Seinäjoki raves on Monday, when the five-year-old mare Järvsökalla kicked her handler Ville Pohjolaa to the head, says Equestrian sport.

Tamma kicked Pohjola at the volt moment of the seventh start without warning. The driver, who was hit on the right cheekbone by a hoof, was rushed to the hospital.

The situation in Pohjola is stable. According to preliminary investigations, he will be sidelined for at least a few weeks.

– Four small fractures, and stitches. The heat was hard, and 10–15 minutes is such a time that I pretty much cut the film. Now we have to take it easy, Pohjola says to Hevoseruhlu.

Järvsökalla was born in Sweden, but was bought in Finland. The mare has won 16,939 euros in her career.

Horse trainer Tiina Koskinen told For horse racing, that Järvsökalla will no longer continue in his stable. The mare’s behavior was a surprise to Koskinen.
