Deal– this week the contestants got to use not only their brain buds but also their taste buds, as the task was to design a dish for a Super Bowl restaurant. In the red team, it was noticed that the food-related task seemed to fit them perfectly at first. Chosen to lead the task Aki competed exactly ten years ago Master Chef – in the chef program.

Both teams chose black rice as one of their ingredients, which turned out to be a rather unlucky choice.
The problems caused by rice are discussed several times later also in front of the management team. It was going to be a cold ride, because all the competitors fell into the same mistake.
– How many people even knew what black rice is and how it is prepared, Jaajo Linnonmaa asks.
– When dealing with foreign raw materials, you have to figure it out. It can even be really allergenic if you don’t really know what it is, advisor Noora Fagerström more.
The blue team Wenla says that the customers gave feedback during the competition and the team’s dishes received praise for their freshness.
– I have to ask about this, that the customers praised. Which of you tasted the dish, Noora points out.
It turns out that no one from the blue team had tasted the finished dish. Noora directs the same question to the other team.
– No one, comes the answer of the competitors as if from one mouth.
– What the hell, Jaajo sneers.
Noora doesn’t let the competitors off easily.
– Absolutely incomprehensible. If you’re in a restaurant and you make a dish, you have to taste it! Really.
Aki of the red team admits that it was definitely a failure.
– It was a total failure. We finally found something that we all agree on, Jaajo winks.
The final result of the competition was clear – the red Valjakko team cleared its way to victory with 95 food portions sold. The blue team, on the other hand, sold 77 portions and thus they end up in front of the management team again for evaluation.
– Quite a mess. A product was sold that was different from what was marketed. Nico’s leadership and other things were a bit so and so here, Jaajo explains.
– Even if you had sold more, you would still have lost this task. Your dose was extremely bad, Noora says.
Nico chooses Janne and Miko with him in danger of relegation. Although Janne receives praise from the management team for his performance and his ability to learn, Jaajo sends the man on his way home. However, Janne doesn’t leave alone, Nico, who was in charge of the task, also gets fired at the same time the door is opened.
– I would say that rather than painting cloud castles, build a shithole, because then you can get something concrete done, Jaajo justifies his choice.
– There was a lot left to give and a lot to show, but I know that there are hard-working professionals on the other side of the table in the management team, Nico concludes.
