Ellen Pompeo, 53, starred in the popular Grey’s Anatomy for 19 seasons. He was seen in more than 400 episodes, but now he left the series.

Pompeo played the titular character in the series, i.e. Meredith Grey, from the beginning of the series. The series started in 2005.
Pompeo has been quite loyal to the series, because after 2005 he has not been seen in any other series. Pompeo has said before that he would like to act in other roles as well.
The actor said a year ago in an interview with Insider that the series should end completely. According to him, Grey’s Anatomy has been done for so long that new interesting plot twists can no longer be written because the stories have already been told. According to Pompeo, it would be good to end Grey’s Anatomy as soon as possible, before the series starts to stagnate.
