Brussels has the cheapest Christmas market, Antwerp by far the most expensive. At least when it comes to fees. Nowadays, operators pay hefty sums just to be able to sell sausages and mulled wine. This takes on crazy proportions, especially at gin stalls: “With the stall fee for one stall at the Antwerp Christmas market, you can buy a very nice car.”
