The LYCRA Company, a global leader in developing sustainable and innovative fiber and technology solutions for the global apparel industry, today announced that it will unveil two exciting new denim innovations at Kingpins Amsterdam (October 15-16, 2025).

Visitors to Kingpins can see samples of the new LYCRA® VintageFX fiber and the biologically based one at the company’s exhibition stand, Yellow 9 LYCRA® EcoMade fiber (bio-derived LYCRA® EcoMade fiber), as well as other popular technology solutions such as the LYCRA® ADAPTIV fiber.

The LYCRA® VintageFX fiber

The new LYCRA® VintageFX fiber, which will be commercially available on the market in 2026, enables low-stretch denims and wovens to achieve a truly vintage look with lasting comfort and a long-lasting fit. Developed with a patent-pending yarn application, this dual-core technology (LYCRA® fiber is combined with LYCRA® VintageFX fiber and surrounded by cotton) offers a range of performance benefits including:

  • Light stretch and good fit for everyday comfort
  • Allows for vintage-inspired designs with a compact, flat surface
  • Reducing seam slippage to improve garment quality
  • Improved drape, lower weight and a permanently optimized fit without bulging

The bio-based LYCRA® EcoMade fiber

At Kingpins, The LYCRA Company will also be presenting samples of the bio-based LYCRA® EcoMade fiber, which consists of 70 percent annually renewable plant raw materials and offers transparency regarding the origin of the raw materials as well as a lower environmental impact. This drop-in solution, which will be commercially available later this year, is a one-for-one replacement for the original LYCRA® fiber, but offers the same performance and does not require any redesign or redevelopment of fabrics, production processes or cutting patterns.

“At The LYCRA Company, we continually push the boundaries of fiber innovation to help our customers set the next trends in denim,” says Ebru Ozaydin, Global Product Director – Denim, Wovens and Ready-to-wear, The LYCRA Company. “The pre-launch of LYCRA® VintageFX and LYCRA® EcoMade bio-based fibers at Kingpins underscores our commitment to shaping the future of fashion through advanced performance features and differentiated products.”

B-logic: The logical future of denim

The LYCRA Company has teamed up with its Pakistan-based distributor iTextiles, CIRCULOSE®—a groundbreaking material made from recycled cotton—and Neela, a vertical denim company, to introduce B-logic. The B-logic collection consists of nine unique outfits designed by Labor Made Inc. denim icon Gordon Muir. This collaboration includes more than just products — it conveys a vision of fashion as a cycle of renewal, beauty and practicality. In doing so, she questions the idea of clothing as disposable items and redefines them as long-lasting, valuable and conscious. The collection can be seen on the mezzanine of the Sugar Factory.
